The moment for the annual check-up
The SkipsMaritiem marinas have a total of 15,000 m2 covered winter storage, with a maximum headroom of 8 metres. In addition, we also have ca. 40,000 m2 lay-up area on land. With a crane capacity up to 64 ton and transport options up to 70 ton, we can easily move larger vessels to their resting place.
Yachtservice & refit during winter storage
Winter storage at SkipsMaritiem is more than just putting a vessel on land and placing it back in the water again come springtime. An engineer tasked with preparing the engine and sanitary facilities for the winter, usually works with a checklist. This ensures that the vessel is thoroughly checked over.
During transport, SkipsMaritiem takes no risks. To avoid taking any possible risks, we use very solid lifting jacks and other expert equipment. For large boats, we use special jacks and a hydraulic boat wagon with a capacity of 70 tonnes. This wagon equalizes the pressure distribution over the entire hull.
Inspections
It is important that your lifejackets, lifeboats/rafts and fire extinguishers are regularly inspected. This should be done on average every 3 years. We are more than happy to arrange this for you. We only work with certified testing stations, meaning you are guaranteed to get the correct inspection for all of your safety items.
You can drop off your items to be tested with us at the end of the sailing season and we will then ensure that they are inspected in the spring, so they are approved for use by the start of the new season.
Does your raft, lifejacket or extinguisher need to be inspected? Bring it to us and we will take care of the rest.
